Shirley A. Allen, 74, of Fort Branch, IN passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on June 14, 1934, in Gibson Co., IN to the Late Charles and Ruth (Landis) Fougnies. She is a member of the Fort Branch General Baptist Church and the Evansville Iron Street Rod Club since 1974. Besides her parents Shirley is preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Charles Fougnies, Betty Louise Fougnies, and Phyllis Reed. Shirley is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles W. Allen, and 1 daughter Jennifer (Allen) (Rob)Fournier of Mt. Carmel, IL. She is also survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister, Bob Fougnies of Indianapolis, IN., Eugene Fougnies of Fort Branch, IN., Bill Fougnies of Princeton, IN., and Gerry Davis of Fort Branch, IN., Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Kyle and Nikolas Busch. Funeral services for Shirley will be on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM. At the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, Rev. Tammy Scheller and Rev. Steve Akins will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN.. Visitation will be on Wed., from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and again from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home on Thursday.
