Shirley Ann Meny, 83, formerly of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at North River Health Campus. She was born to the late Paul and Helen (Baumgatner) Buehner on November 9, 1933 in Evansville, IN.

She was formerly a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN and for many years has been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Evansville, IN. Growing up, Shirley went to Assumption Catholic Church and School, then graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville, IN. She married her husband Gerald Meny in 1953. She was a foster mother for Catholic Charities and worked with her husband at Meny's in Haubstadt, IN for a short time after their children were grown. She loved doing crafts and going camping with her kids.

Besides her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Gerald (Curly) Meny, Grandson Sgt. Ronald Zeller, Great Granddaughter Elizabeth Barnett, and a Son-in-law Loran Zeller.

Shirley is survived by 9 children; Michael (Barb) Meny of Evansville, IN, Cindy Zeller of Elberfeld, IN, Jeffrey (Tammy) Meny of Fort Branch, IN, Anita (Jim) Schmitt of Evansville, IN, Daniel (Karen) Meny of Evansville, IN, Eric (Johnna) Meny of Haubstadt, IN, Wayne (Margie) Meny of Haubstadt, IN, Laura (Mike) Richter of Haubstadt, IN, and Bobby (companion Rebacca) Meny of Elberfeld, IN, 2 brothers; Ralph Buehner of Fort Branch, IN and David Buehner of Indianapolis, IN, 2 sisters; Delores Smith of Evansville, IN and Rosemary Bennett of Evansville, IN, 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Evansville, IN on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Father Benny Chako as celebrant. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum following services.
