IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen Anthony
Sevier
February 15, 1943 – December 14, 2023
Stephen "Tony" Anthony Sevier, Age 80, went to be with our heavenly father on December 14, 2023. Tony was born February 15, 1943, in Gibson County Indiana to William "Bill" and Anna Delores Sevier. He married his high school sweetheart Janet Georges Sevier on September 24, 1960.
He graduated from Mackey High School in 1961. He worked for Peabody Coal for 30 years. He spent his adulthood working on the Sevier & Sons Farm with his son Steve. He was a Sales Representative for Dekalb and was a crop adjuster for Hartford Insurance Group. Through his work he would become a great friend to many area farmers. He was a proud member of St. Bernards Catholic Church since 1960 where he served as a sector on the cemetery board for many years.
He was a huge advocate for all of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids in all the things they participated in, especially sports! They always knew their #1 Trojan fan was in the stands supporting them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Georges Sevier. Daughter Tammy (Jeff) Meny and Sons Stephen (Melissa) Sevier & Jeffery (Rhonda) Sevier. Sister, Kathy Sevier Hoffman. 11 grandchildren, Jamie Schnarr, Renee Wilson, Jessica Ewing, Brandy Craney, Stephanie Meny, Nikki Wayman, Courtney Sevier, Conner Sevier, Samantha Allen, Thomas Sevier, and Kathleen Sevier. Tony had 10 great grandchildren with one more due in February. Tony was loved and respected by so many family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by father and mother, William "Bill" and Anna Delores Sevier. And brother-in-law Glen Hoffman.
We want to give a special thank you to Delores Ziliak for her communal and spiritual guidance. A huge thank you to the caregivers, Karen, Brooke and Brad and to the Deaconess Hospice Care, especially Alysha, Marylin and Leslie. A heart felt thank you to Bodie and Debbie for their friendship and memories.
