Tommie A. Basham Jr. 78 of Owensville, IN passed away on Tuesday, Apr. 13, 2010 at his residence. he was born on Feb. 22, 1932 in Sugar Grove, KY to the late Tommie A. and Leona (Daugherty) Basham. Tommie served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve for 40 years and was a member of the Fort Branch VFW Post #2714. he was retired from Whirlpool Corp. in Evansville, IN. Tommie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (Hill) Basham and 4 children, Tommie A (Rose) Basham III of Owensville, IN, Daniel Basham of Princeton, IN, Rebecca (Mike) Lenart of Wyoming, and Kimberley (Steve) Myers of Madison, IN. Also is surviving is a brother Bill Basham Kentucky, and a sister, Juanita Claspell of Evansville, IN, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Services for Tommie will be on Monday, Apr. 19, 2010, 10:00 A.M. CST at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, Dr. James Cramer will Officiate. Graveside military services will be conducted on Monday, Apr 19, 2010, in Madison, IN, at the Indiana Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. EST. Vistation will be on Sunday, Apr. 18, 2010 at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M.CST until 8:00 P.M. CST.
