Verneda C. Block, 81, of Princeton, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 at The Waters in Princeton, IN. She was born to the late Elmer and Ida (Pflug) Buck on Sept. 8th, 1925 in Buckskin, IN. Verneda was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, IN., the St. Pauls Women's Guild, and The Red Hat Society. Besides her parents, Verneda is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Block in 1987 and a sister, Eloise Gaffney. She is survived by 2 children and their spouses, Keith (Kathy) Block of Princeton, IN, Brenda (Richard) Dawson of Francisco, IN. One brother and 2 sisters, Darvin Buck of Fort Branch, IN, Norma Kruse of Fort Branch, IN., and Jeanie Cardinal of Princeton, IN. 6 Grandchildren and their spouses, Brad (Heather), Christie (Andy), Julie, Dixie, Bryan, and Lindsey,. Also surviving is 1 Great Grandchild, Annabel. Services for Verneda will be on Monday August 6th, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Pail United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, with Pastor John Heumann officiating, burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 5th, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN and again from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday at the church.
