Walter L. (Bud) Wilkens Jr, 61 of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born to his father the late Walter L. Wilkens Sr. and mother, Ruby (Milner) Wilkens, who survives him, on Sept. 20, 1950 in Fairfield, IL. Bud was a dispatcher for Wayne Wilkens Trucking in Vincennes, IN. He served in the U.S. Army reserves for 6 years. Bud was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of the Abate Club of Indiana. He was a member of the Olney First Baptist Church in Olney, IL. Besides his mother, Bud is survived by 1 brother and 3 sisters, Wanda Shultz of Jasper, IN, Winona Drewes of Springfield, IL, Wanita (Chuck) Pagel of Springville, IN, and Wayne (Cindy) Wilkens of Vincennes, IN. He is also survived by 8 Nephews, 2 nieces, and 8 great nephews and nieces. Services for Bud will be on Sat. Feb. 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN. Visitation will be on Fri. Feb. 10, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted at the graveside by the Fort Branch VFW Post # 2714 and the American Legion Post # 194 on Sat.morning.Donations maybe made to the Abate Of Indiana.
