Wayne Eugene Anderson, 85, of Owensville, IN, passed away on July 9, 2026, at Transcendent Health Care in Owensville. He was born on January 11, 1941, in Evansville, IN, to the late Victor and Sarah (Garrett) Anderson.

Wayne graduated from Owensville High School in 1959 and married the love of his life, Linda Boren, on May 20, 1961. He devoted his life to farming and raising his family. Wayne and Linda shared many evenings square dancing until her passing on Christmas Day in 2016. He attended Blythe Chapel Church and contributed to the memorabilia displays at the Owensville Gym. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, racing of all kinds, and tractor pulls. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Anderson; and his brother, Floyd Anderson.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Dave) Fuhs of Fort Branch; grandchildren, Ashely (Ben) Hauschild and Alissa (Brandon) Wigand; great-grandchildren, Easton and Waylon Hauschild and Maya Wigand; and companion, Carolynn Butts of Princeton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, with Reverend John Baylor and Reverend Randy Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Burial and committal services will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Cynthiana.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice; Liberty Cemetery, via Crane Credit Union, 220 S.
