Wayne Charles Spindler, 61, of Haubstadt, IN, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born to the late Adam Spindler, Jr., and Mary (Stratman) Spindler on September 10, 1960, in Evansville, IN.
Wayne attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN. He was the owner and operator of Commercial and Residential Lawn Care. He took a great deal of pride in his lawn equipment and greatly appreciated his loyal customers. He followed IU basketball and loved to play clabber with friends and family. He loved farming and antique and garden tractors.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Adam Spindler, Jr.; mother and stepfather, Mary (Gilbert) Arnold; and brothers, Bernard Sr. and Mary Sue Spindler, and William "Bill" Spindler.
He is survived by his siblings, Joyce Allen of Haubstadt, IN, Carolyn (Wilfred) Goedde of Wadesville, IN, Donna (Denny) Swader of Fort Branch, IN, and Miriam Gauger of Evansville, IN, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt with Father Luke Hassler as celebrant and Deacon Charles Koressel. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church with a rosary service starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for Wayne's final expenses, in care of Stodghill Funeral Home, 500 E. Park St., Fort Branch, IN, 47648.
