William T. Ballard, 85 of Haubstadt IN passed away on Sept. 17, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was the born on Sept. 4, 1928 to the late Silas and Bertha (Thene) Ballard in Gibson County, IN.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Grace (Wittenberg) Ballard whom passed on Sept. 27, 2003. He was retired from the Evansville Stockyards after 35 yrs and was a farmer.  He was a member of the Elberfeld American Legion Post 351, and a Korean War Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.  He is also a member of the Bluegrass United Methodist Church.

William is survived by his 5 children; Lonnie Earl (Rose) Adcock, William Thomas (Tammi) Ballard Jr., Bruce Allen (Kim) Ballard, and Patricia Ann Lockyear all of Haubstadt IN and Mary Elizabeth (Virgil) Ebrecht of Elberfeld,IN,; 2 sisters; Mary Ann Hornby and Minnie Marie Reinbrecht both of Haubstadt IN, 16 grandchildren;Dusty,Mindy,Amanda,Jason,Chad,Tammy,Brandon,Kaitlyn,Grace,

Eithan, Davon, Bruce Jr, Lacy, Lindsay. 7 Great Grandchildren; Addie, Ryne, Wyatt, Noah, Ty, Luke, Ella

Services for William will be held at Bluegrass United Methodist Church on Friday Sept. 20, 2013 at 10:00 am with Pastor Doug Heiman and Pastor Reno Demuth officiating. Burial will follow at Northview Cemetery with Graveside Military services conducted by the Eberfeld American Legion Post # 351.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept, 19, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch.
