Wynnetta Sue Massa, 84, of Evansville, IN, passed away at North River Villas in Evansville, IN on September 30, 2021. She was born to the late Walter and Olive (Taylor) Staats on December 23, 1936, in Clinton, IN.

Sue was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Her family was her life. She married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Massa, Jr., in 1955.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Staats, Jr., and Wilford Staats.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Joseph A. Massa, Jr. of Evansville, IN; their children, Dr. Joseph (Ginny) Massa, III of Ooltewah, TN, Mike (Janice) Massa of Avon, IN, and Terri (Lin) Staples of Evansville, IN; sister, Wanda (Richard) Black of Eutawville, SC; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several  nieces and nephews.

Services will be private with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum in Fort Branch, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue 1417 N. Stockwell Rd. Evansville, IN 47715.
