Barbara Jean (Woolever) Besing

Barbara Jean Besing, 79, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at her home on August 24, 2023.

She was born to the late Russell and Eva (Talbert) Woolever on May 15, 1944, in Wayne County, IL.

Barbara married the love of her life, Darvin Besing on January 1, 1972, and they had 4 beautiful children together. She was happy to be “Darvin’s wife” and worked hard to make a loving home for him and her family. She was a faithful Christian lady in every sense of the word and she will be sorely missed.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Darvin Besing; and siblings, Leslie Woolever, Gilbert Woolever, Loren Woolever, Verla Bowles, Rosie Vanway, Raymond Woolever, Ed Woolever, and Geraldine Stalter.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Besing of Haubstadt, Elizabeth Besing and Daniel Besing and Stephanie Besing of Evansville; siblings, Irene Melburn, Judy Bowers, and Francis Vallance; grandchildren, Kyle Hill, Anna Hill, and Noah Besing; and 4 great grandchildren with 1 great grandchild on the way.

Services will be private to honor her wishes. Burial will be at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Haubstadt, IN. Donations in her honor can be made to St. Stephen’s Community Church, PO Box 335, Haubstadt, IN 47639. Expressions of sympathy can be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
