Carl E. Frohbieter, 86, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN on Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was born to the late Edgar and Versa (Blythe) Frohbieter on August 4, 1934 in Warrenton, IN.
Carl worked as an operating engineer of industrial equipment his whole life and was a member of the IUOE Local 181 union. He was in the U.S. Army for 2 years and served in Germany. He married his beautiful wife Pauline Meny on October 17, 1964. Carl was truly a family man who loved his daughter and grandchildren very much.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Helen Neubling, Wilbur Frohbieter, Arvil “Art” Frohbieter, Ivan Frohbieter, and Evelyn Steinkulh.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Pauline Frohbieter; daughter, Sandra Sanders; grandsons, Lee, Lyle, and Lane Ash; and great granddaughters, Karleigh and Kaylee Ash all of Fort Branch, IN.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home with Father Christopher Droste officiating. Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum will follow. Military Honors will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with the Veterans of Gibson County conducting the service. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Due to covid-19 restrictions, there is a capacity of 25 in the building and masks and social distancing are encouraged.
