Carolyn Hoffman, 87, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on June 24, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN. She was born to the late John Edward Goad and Helen (Stallings) Strickland on September 4, 1932 in Wadesville, IN.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella in Haubstadt, and of the Scripture Study Group. She spent her life as a teacher teaching the many children of various schools in Indiana and as a homemaker to her husband and three children. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, crocheting, and reading.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Howard Strickland; her loving husband of 58 years, George Hoffman; and a grandchild, Christopher Hoffman.
She is survived by her 3 children, Kathryn Hoffman of Haubstadt, IN, Tim (Deonna) Hoffman of Poseyville, IN, and Richard (Deborah) Hoffman of Raleigh, NC; 8 grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, Kyle, and Heath Hoffman, Amber Howard, Sean Gebhard, and Maranda Pringle; 9 great- grandchildren, and several cousins and friends.
Services will be private at the request of the family with a Celebration of Life service to be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
