Daniel Riggs Obituary

Daniel Kent Riggs of Owensville passed away on October 3, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh. He was born on September 1, 1957 in Princeton to the late Donald and Nora Irene (Anderson) Riggs.

Daniel retired from Gibson County Sold Waste after 12 years, was a member of the Teamsters Local #215, enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting collected arrowheads and was a CB radio operator that went by the handle “Trotliner”. He loved being a pageant Papaw, and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Daniel is also preceded by his siblings, Geneva, Kenny, Bob, Steve, Gary, Aaron Riggs and Jane Farrar.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vanessa Riggs, Owensville; children, Steven (Kimberly) Riggs, Owensville; Gary Riggs, Augusta, and Amanda (Karie) Riggs, Evansville; grandchildren, Aubrey, Nora and Aaron Riggs.

Visitation for Daniel will be on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch and again from 9:00 AM to service time on Monday.

Services will be on Monday October 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Bob Douglas officiating.

Burial will be following at the Owensville Cemetery.
