Dennis A. Hardiman, 70, of Owensville, IN, passed away on June 30, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born to the late Sherman and Flora (Walden) Hardiman on April 6, 1951, in Princeton, IN.
He retired from Whirlpool in Evansville after 18 years and worked part time at Rural King in Princeton for 5 years, but his whole life he was a farmer and farming meant the world to him. He was a member of the Evansville #5 Lodge Prince Hall Association, VFW Post #2714, and the Sons of the American Legion Post #25. He was very family oriented. He was the Assistant Coach for his daughter’s softball teams for over 5 years and he helped teach his granddaughter to play the clarinet. From arm wrestling competitions to wrestling a bear at the county fair he was full of interesting stories. He never met a stranger and will be missed by so many friends and family.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by the love of his life, Kathy (O’Neal) Hardiman.
Dennis is survived by his daughters, Erin (Harold) Thomas of Owensville, IN and Amanda (Mike) Brewer of Fort Branch, IN; grandchildren, Damon Hardiman, Logan Thomas, Kalee Thomas, Jordan Kenworthy, and Jalen Kenworthy, Olivia and Lennon Brewer; and a brother, Mike Wimbley of Colorado Springs, CO.
