Donald E. Kamman, 86, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN on October 20,2020. He was born to the late Homer and Amelia (Ingram) Kamman on December 12, 1933 in Zoar, IN.
Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. He worked at Whirlpool for 45 years. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Princeton, IN, American Legion post #194 in Haubstadt, IN, and the VFW post #2714 in Fort Branch, IN. He was an outdoorsman who loved gardening, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and watching them play sports.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Alvey Kamman and Homer Kamman, Jr.; and sisters, Marjorie Seibe, Ester Gardner, and Dorothy Hendrix.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth (Reller) Kamman of Haubstadt, IN, children, Jeff (Donna) Kamman of Warrenton, IN, Darla Lewis of Fort Branch, IN, and Carla (Cheri) Kamman of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Melissa (Derek) Matsel and Steven Lewis; and great grandchildren, Talen and Emmit Matsel.
Services will be on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Princeton, IN with Pastor John Schmeling officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home and again on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Military Honors will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery prior to burial performed by the Veterans of Gibson County. Donations can be made to the Fort Branch VFW or to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Princeton, IN.
