Donald F. Martin

Donald F. Martin, 82, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at North River Health Campus in Evansville, IN on January 23, 2020. He was born to the late Wendel and Marie (Voelker) Martin on June 6, 1937 in St. Wendel, IN.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt and the Knights of St. John. He was a dairy farmer all his life. He was the former Director of Federal Land Bank, former Director of the Production Credit Association, and a member of the ASCS committee.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne (Greubel) Martin of Haubstadt, IN, 8 children, Michael (Janet) Martin of Haubstadt, IN, Tom (Vicki) Martin of Chandler, IN, James Martin of La Farge, WI, Jerome (Brenda) Martin of Wadesville, IN, Ronald Martin of Haubstadt, IN, Anna (Jamey) Hannah of Mt. Carmel, IL, John (Melanie) Martin of Evansville, IN and Therese Martin of Van Cleeve, MS; 3 brothers, Wilburn “Bud” (Darlene) Martin of Poseyville, IN, Larry (Lois) Martin of St. Phillips, IN, and Wendel (Carol) Martin, Jr. of Newburgh, IN; 1 sister, Diane (Harry) Martin-Woods of Evansville, IN; 11 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at North River Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Luke Hassler as the celebrant. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Stodghill Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Rosary services will be on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Stodghill Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with the Knights of St. John. Donations can be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to St. Vincent De Paul.
