Donald Sollman Obituary

Donald G. Sollman, 75, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at his home on Monday, January 10, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Ervin G. “Bud” and Mildred (Lowenkamp) Sollman on July 3, 1946 in Fort Branch, IN.

Donald was a member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, IN. He graduated from Fort Branch High School in 1965. He served 2 years in the Army National Guard and he was a life long farmer with his son on the Sollman Family Farm. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Zentmyer, on August 21, 1971.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ronald Sollman, Carol Sollman, and Marlene Sollman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marilyn Sollman of Haubstadt, IN; children, Tara Lynn (Matt) Steedly of Louisville, KY, Tiffany Leigh Eastman of Martinsville, IN, and Trent Lane (Samantha) Sollman of Haubstadt, IN; siblings, Kenny Sollman of Boonville, IN and Nancy (Lynn) Carpenter of Florida; and grandchildren, Emma Kline Steedly, Cole Edward Eastman, Amelia Kate Steedly, Barron Lee Eastman, Tucker Donald Sollman, Sterling Lane Sollman, and Arie Michael Powers.

Services will be on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch with Pastor John Heumann officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home and again on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at St. Lucas United Church of Christ. Burial will be at St. Lucas Cemetery. Donations in his honor can be made to St. Lucas United Church of Christ.
