Elmer LeGrange, 98, of Fort Branch, IN, went home to be with the Lord at 11:30 pm on September 22, 2020 at his home.
Elmer was born October 30, 1921 to Roy and Lizzie (Blackard) LeGrange.
Elmer was nicknamed Leather or Leatherhead as a boy because he always wore a leather cap or carried his leather ball glove with him.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He has always been a member of the American Legion #194, a 33rd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite, and the Princeton Eagles.
He worked at Emge Meat Packing Company and retired after 45 ¼ years. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports and loved to dance and spend time with family and friends at Kentucky Lake.
Elmer is survived by his wife of 20 years, Norma Jean; Son, Rick (Patty), grandkids, Kelsie (Mark), Deena (Mike), and Nichole; great-great grandkids, Aaron, Alexa(Kevin) and Brittany; Great-great-great granddaughter, Jilian Gehl.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gail; daughter, Cassie; sister, Mildred; and two stepdaughters, Connie and Carolyn.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with Pastor Shane Springer officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with Military services by the Veterans of Gibson County starting at 1:45 p.m. Visitors are asked to wear face covering. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.
