Obituary

Frank Allen Kiesel, 61, of Cynthiana, IN, passed away at his home on April 20, 2020. He was born to the late Elmer and Dolores (Knapp) Kiesel on October 1, 1958 in Fort Branch, IN.

 

He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt. He was a carpenter who belonged to the Carpenter’s Union Local #224. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the National Rifle Association. Frank was a Mopar enthusiast, gun enthusiast, mushroom hunter, and he enjoyed fishing.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sherry (Stone) Kiesel; his son, Brandon (Alexis) Kiesel, of Westville, IL; grandchildren, Lilly and Jude Kiesel; and 14 siblings, Larry (Diane) Kiesel of Fort Branch, Dave Kiesel of Texas, Kenny (Donna) Kiesel of Fort Branch, Jane Hofmann of Evansville, Diane (John) Hasenour of Fort Branch, Cindy (Joe) Effinger of Wadesville, Gene (Donna) Kiesel of Fort Branch, Randy (Kay) Kiesel of Fort Branch, Doris (Kent) Baehl of Fort Branch, Greg (Lisa) Kiesel of Cynthiana, Teresa (Rick) Granderson of Elberfeld, Mark Kiesel of Haubstadt, Tracy (Diane) Kiesel of Fort Branch, and Julie (Mark) Rexing of Evansville.

 

Services will be private due to current gathering restrictions. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery with Father John Boeglin performing the committal and Mike Cunningham on bagpipes. Flowers and food should be sent directly to the family’s home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
