Linda Folsom Obituary

Linda L. Folsom, 62, of Owensville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in Fort Branch, IN. She was born to Paul "Pete" and Mary Lou (Weber) Williamson on December 11, 1958, in Princeton, IN.

Linda was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Snake Run. She graduated from Gibson Southern High School and attended Wabash Valley College, Vincennes University, and the University of Evansville. She worked for Amax Coal at the Wabash Mine for 13 years; where she met Bill, worked as a travel consultant for AAA for 7 years, and currently was working for F. C. Tucker Realty for 17 years as a Broker Associate. She married the love of her life Bill Folsom on May 18, 1985 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. She was a "Fort Branch-ian" at heart and a pillar of the Gibson County community: a member of the UMWA Local 1791,  VFW  Auxiliary, Gibson County Chamber of Commerce, Gibson County Council on Aging, Indiana Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, F.C. Tucker President’s Club, Executive Club and was Randy Owen’s most famous fan in the Alabama Fan Club. More than anything, she was a great friend to everyone who knew her and will be missed by all. Linda lived her life by remembering God first, treating people like you want to be treated and to be kind. She would want you to honor her in living out the same way.

She is preceded in death by her father, “Pete” Williamson in 1983; mother-in-law, Lois L. Folsom; father-in-law, William Folsom, Sr.; stepfather, Arnold Michel; and stepbrothers, Roger Michel and Dean Estrada.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Michel of Fort Branch, IN; her loving husband of 36 years, Bill Folsom of Owensville, IN; her daughter, Jessica Folsom of Fort Branch, IN; stepdaughter Laura (Tim Franklin) Folsom of Seymour, IN; siblings, Karen McCloud of Francisco, IN, Paul (Faye) Williamson of Snake Run, IN, Russel (Pam) Williamson of Fort Branch, IN, Dennis (Penni) Williamson of Haubstadt, IN, Susan Williamson of Fort Branch, IN, and Jeff (Judy) Williamson of Fort Branch, IN; grandchildren, Kendal Gomez, Jade Folsom, Kinsley Folsom, and Alex Franklin; great grandchild, Gracelyn Folsom; fur-babies Coco and Toto; and many stepsiblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
