Mary M. Martin, 87 of Oakland City, passed away on September 20,2022 in Evansville surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 15, 1935, in Evansville to the late Alois and Yolanda (Tieken) Goedde. She is also preceded by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Martin; brothers; Alois Goedde Jr., Melvin Goedde, and sisters, Henrietta Kissel, Rita Ford, Marcella Paul, Esther Petrig and a grandson, Ryan Fleming.
Mary was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snakerun. She was a housewife and helped her husband at the farm, former Religious Education teacher at the church, she loved to play Bingo and loved to cook which she was the best at.
She is survived by her children; Kathy Collins, Newburgh; Esther (Paul) Houchins, Evansville; Bob (Alana) Martin, Oakland City; Carolyn (Steve) Gilles, Elberfeld; Patricia (Nathan) Coleman, Greenville; Paul (Michell) Martin, Oakland City. 17 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren
Brothers; Vincent Goedde, Haubstadt; Edwin (Darlene) Goedde, Mt. Vernon; Jerome (Jane) Goedde, Evansville; Daniel (Gayle) Goedde, Boonville; Sisters, Alvina Titzer, Evansville; Antoinette Kissel, Haubstadt; Ethelene (Robert) Petrig, Evansville.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM of Saturday, September 24, 2022, at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Snakerun, IN with Father Christopher Forler officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary recited at 3:30 PM.
