Murriel M. Stamper, 82, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at his home on July 22, 2022. He was born to the late Claude and Mona (Lines) Stamper on May 14, 1940, in Los Angeles, CA.
Murriel was a computer and electrical engineer. He attended Purdue University and also got his training from the United States Air Force where he was enlisted for 4 years. He was the definition of a true scholar who loved learning new things. He loved astronomy, science fiction, and hiking, and his favorite musician was John Denver.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Karen Marsh, Robert L. Stamper, and an infant sister.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Jannie) Stamper of Francisco, IN and Suzette (Robert) Daine of Bunker Hill, IN; his siblings, Larry (Colleen) Stamper of Camarillo, CA and Dr. Kim (Mary) Marsh of Richmond, VA; 5 grandchildren, Kellen (Abby) Powell, Shelby Daine, Ryan Daine, Jordan Stamper, and Jacob Stamper; 1 great grandchild, Millie Merchant; and the mother of his children, Linda Brown of Kokomo, IN.
