Norma Lee Pohl, 85, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on February 13, 2021. She was born to the late Leroy and Mary (Wassmer) Greubel on February 24, 1935 in Haubstadt.
Norma was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening flowers, quilting, and cake decorating.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert Francis Pohl in 1994 and a great grandson, Lucas Robert.
She is survived by her 7 children, Julie (Mike) Yellig of Evansville, IN, Carla (Harold) Hamm of Vincennes, IN, Randy (Laura) Pohl of Haubstadt, IN, Steven (Gayle) Pohl. Haubstadt,IN, Richard (Lisha) Pohl of Haubstadt, IN, Chris (Patty) Pohl of Haubstadt, IN, and Greg (Kristi) Pohl of Haubstadt, IN; 4 siblings, Suzanne Martin of Haubstadt, IN, Mary Jane (Ralph) Buehner of Fort Branch, IN, Karen (Ron) Bacon of Chandler, IN, and Dave (Brenda) Greubel of Haubstadt, IN; 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luke Hassler as celebrant. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery following mass. Visitation will be on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch and again on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 50 people are allowed in the building at one time and this will be a walkthrough visitation. Masks and social distancing will be required. Mass will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Alzheimer’s Association.
