Peggy J (Cotner) Lemmons

Peggy J. Lemmons, 78, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on February 22, 2019 at Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland City, IN. She was born to the late Carl and Lucielle (McIntire) Cotner in Princeton, IN on April 26, 1940.

Peggy was a graduate of Fort Branch High School class of 1958 which she was very proud of. She was a member of the Fort Branch United Methodist Church. Peggy retired from Hansen Manufacturing in Princeton, IN after many years of service. She spent her life taking care of others and was a natural caregiver.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lemmons in 2000, brothers; Jesse Cotner and Carl Cotner, Jr., and her longtime companion John “Johnny” Johnson.

Peggy is survived by one son, Brett (Teresa) Lemmons of Fort Branch, IN; 2 grandsons, Brad (Amanda McGarrh) Lemmons of Henderson, KY and Jeff (Emily Elpers) Lemmons of Fort Branch, IN and a sister, Judy (Dean) Bell of Gulf Shores, AL.

Services will be on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with Pastor Steve Akins officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Durham Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN following the service. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
