Robert L. Friedman, 87, of Fort Branch passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, in Evansville. Bob was born on January 22, 1934, in Glennonville, Missouri to the late Lee and Mary (Blume) Friedman who preceded him along with a sister, Betty Mayer and brother, Sylvester Friedman; Stepchildren; Diann Besing and Mark Schaefer.
Robert was a US Army veteran, a School Bus driver for over 30 years for the South Gibson School Corporation and a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the St James Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Marie (Fleck, Schaefer) Friedman, Fort Branch, daughters, Theresa Troutman, Princeton, and Debbie (Bobby) Stephens, Haubstadt, IN; Stepchildren; Michael (Theresa) Schaefer, Sheridan, IN; Edwin (Gladys) Schaefer, Evansville IN; Elaine(Jerry) Happe, Evansville, IN; Keith (Marcella) Schaefer, Bruceville, IN; Siblings, Sister Martha Friedman, Wheaton, IL; Ann Friedman, Fort Branch, IN; Martha (Paul) Weaver, Evansville, IN; Tony (Joy) Friedman, Princeton, IN; Steve Friedman, Evansville, IN; Dan (Marie) Friedman, Henderson, KY; 13 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Betz officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery and Military services will be conducted by the Retired Military Veterans at the grave site.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 27, 2021, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch and again at 9:00 AM till time of service at the church on Tuesday.
The family requests all guest to wear masks and observe social distancing.
