Roberta J. Maikranz, 59, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Heart to Heart Hospice in Evansville, IN, on Thursday, April 11, 2024. She was born to Kenneth and Wanda (DeBord) Kramer on June 27, 1964, in Evansville, IN.
Berta was a member of the Fort Branch United Methodist Church. She married the love of her life, Duncan Maikranz, on September 1, 1984, and they had 2 beautiful children. Throughout the years she worked at several places including Atlas Van Lines, Qualex Photo, Welborn Clinic, and Ascension St. Vincent. In her free time, she enjoyed, skeet shooting clay pigeons, fishing, cooking, watching birds in the backyard in her favorite swing, and seeing the bears and rocks on her many trips to the Smoky Mountains. Roberta loved spending time with her family. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She loved serving people and making them happy any way she could and never knew a stranger. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Kramer; and brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Nancy Kramer.
Roberta is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Duncan Maikranz of Fort Branch, IN; children, Whitney (Brad) Mayer and Clae (Nicole) Maikranz both of Fort Branch, IN; Her mother, Wanda Kramer of Fort Branch; brothers, Patrick (Karen) Kramer of Fort Branch, IN and Neal (April) Kramer of Princeton, IN; and grandchildren, Lindsey, Bishop, Hannah, Abigail, and Claire Mayer and Paisley, Brinley, Memphis, and Lincoln Maikranz.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Pastor Kristi Pflug officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The burial and committal service will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch following funeral services. Donations in her honor can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Lupus Foundation of America, the Gibson County Soccer Complex, Gibson County Animal Services, or the charity of your choice.
