Vangie Scott Obituary

Evangula “Vangie” A. Scott, 51, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital on Monday, January 4, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19. She was born on July 15, 1969 and raised by her late parents, Orris and Fontella (DeJarnett) Young. She was baptized in the Catholic faith.

 

She worked at One America as a Senior Plan Manager for 24 years. Vangie was a true lover of life. As a child she loved to play all sports. She enjoyed anything outdoors including camping, atv riding, boating, motorcycles, and horses. She loved her many animals, having family game night and aggravating her brothers. Vangie was the President of the Chrome Angelz local chapter known as the SIK Girls. She was always so full of life and will be truly missed.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Vernie E. Pflug and James Plfug; her sisters, Sharon Williamson and Linda Gamblin; and her first husband, Mark Bradshaw.

She is survived by her loving husband whom she married on October 1, 2016, Brian Scott of Fort Branch,IN; bonus sons, Bailey Scott of West Lafayette, IN, Brandon Scott of Evansville, IN and Blake Scott of Greenwood, IN; brothers, William (Kim) Pflug of Evansville, IN and Anthony (Antonette) Pflug of Morganfield, KY; bonus brothers, John (Sheila) Pflug of Lynnville, IN and Michael Pflug of Princeton, IN; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be private and livestreamed at Stodghill Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with burial open to the public at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance at the visitation will be limited. Social distancing and masks will be required. Donations can be made in her honor to It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue at 1417 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, Indiana 47715. Livestream will be available at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
