Wilfred W. Elpers, 90, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN on July 17, 2020. He was born to the late William H. and Henrietta (Koressell) Elpers on November 26, 1929 in Evansville, IN.
He was a farmer all his life and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia (Weber) Elpers; 3 brothers, Virgil Elpers, Vernon Elpers and Bob Elpers; and 1 sister, Hazel Kraft.
He is survived by his children, David Elpers of Fort Branch, IN, Donna Moritz of Mt. Carmel, IL, Wayne Elpers of Woodbridge, VA, Peggy Horrall of Mt. Carmel, IL, Wanda Silkey of Evansville, IN, Penny Elpers of Tulsa, OK, Sandy Elpers of Fort Branch, IN, and Christopher Elpers of Fort Branch, IN; siblings, Ruthy Newman of Evansville, IN, Jim Elpers of Evansville, IN, Sylvester Elpers of Evansville, IN, and Neil Elpers of Warrenton, IN; 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church with Father Christopher Droste as the celebrant. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Holy Cross Church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
