Marla S (Reynolds) Lee

Marla S. Lee, 85, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Marsovan and Delores (Newton) Reynolds on October 17, 1937, in Owensville,IN.

Marla was raised in the Baptist church, but later converted to Catholicism. She worked as a cook, bartender, and waitress most of her life. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary post 2714, which she helped establish. She was a big fan of the Gibson County Animal Services and gave to the Wounded Warriors on a regular basis. She ordered crossword puzzles by the box, collected angels, enjoyed NASCAR, and was an avid bird watcher.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 children, Ronnie Ivan Lee and Michael Lee.

She is survived by her 2 children, Jodie (Ink) Dewig and Thoela Darrah both of Haubstadt, IN; siblings, Linda Fulton of Katy, TX and Benjamin Reynolds of Andalusia, AL; grandchildren, Tim (Carra) Darrah, Keith (Christine) Dewig, and Jamie (Nick) Meny; 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday October 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Clark Cemetery in Owensville, IN. Donations in her honor can be made to Gibson County Animal Services and The Wounded Warrior Project. Expressions of sympathy can be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
