Brenda Sue Krieg, 79, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN on July 12, 2021, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Reverend Edward and Nyla (Brown) Allen on July 26, 1941, in Boonville, IN.
Brenda was extraordinarily strong in her faith, was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a former member of the Fort Branch General Baptist Church where she was the secretary for 6 years. She recently attended Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton. She married the love of her life, George, on June 12, 1964, and farmed alongside him their whole married life. She also drove a school bus for the South Gibson School Corporation for 25 years.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Altha Krieg; and son-in-law, Pete Dunkel and a nephew, Jeff Krieg
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, George Krieg of Fort Branch; children, Lisa Dunkel of Fort Branch, Kathy (Joe) Knapp of Haubstadt, and Lucinda (Ken) Mayer of Fort Branch; grandchildren, Andrew (Annie) Dunkel, Matthew Dunkel, Timothy Dunkel, Melissa Knapp, Megan (Kameron) Wade, Daniel Knapp, Kara Mayer, Damon (Jordan) Mayer, and Hanna Mayer; great grandchildren, Jeter, Albany, Vera, Emma, and Eli; and a sister, Tonya (Scott) Macer of Evansville; also a brother-in-law Fred Krieg, Evansville and several nieces and nephews
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Pastors Kevin Wilson and Ron Black officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until service time with burial in Owensville Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fort Branch Wesleyan Church or Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton. Expressions of sympathy can be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
