Donna Jean (Hedges) Owens, 61, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2021. She was born to the late William and Barbara (Bass) Hedges on January 29, 1960 in Oakland City, IN.
Donna worked as a cook at The Log Inn, Fastbreak Convenience Store, and most recently at the Donut Depot in Fort Branch. She was also a former member of the Eastern Star. She was a big Chicago Cubs fan and Tennessee Titans fan. She loved to go fishing and bowling and used to belong to a bowling league in Princeton. She was a well-known figure in the community and will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Barbara Hedges.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Staphany Owens of Fort Branch, IN; 2 brothers, Mike (Nona) Hedges of Lawrenceville, IL and John (Laura) Hedges of Evansville, IN; nieces and nephews, Brenda (James Amick) Doud of Abington, IL, Amie (Scott) Lane of Richmondville, GA, Makalia (Roger) Burns of Lawrenceville, IL, Melissa (Terry) Baker of Chandler, IN, Tiffaney (Joey) Medicis of Evansville, IN, Brandon (Shana) Hedges of Evansville, IN and Elizabeth (Corey) Gurnow of St. Louis, Mo; and several great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Pastor Corey Atkins officiating. Burial will follow the service at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
