Judith Mae Blackard, 78, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at her home on July 15, 2023. She was born to the late Erwin and Mildred (Besing) Glordan on April 3, 1945, in Elberfeld, IN.
Judy was protestant in faith. She married the love of her life, Larry Blackard, on September 19, 1964, and they had 3 beautiful children. She worked in several factories doing assembly, and also ran an in-home daycare for several years. Judy and Larry both enjoyed watching Cardinals baseball and IU basketball together and they are both truly missed.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry Blackard; and her sister, Karen Trible.
Judy is survived by her children, Misty (Lane) Workman of Princeton, IN, Stacy (Chuck) Brittingham of Francisco, IN, and Jason (Melanie) Blackard of Fort Branch, IN; siblings, Deloyce (Ron) Templeton of Grand Prairie, TX, Bob (Sue) Glordan of Corydon, IN, and Kathy Duncan of Elberfeld, IN; brother-in-law, Ralph Trible of Elberfeld, IN; grandchildren, Kelsey (Kyle) Cummins, Emily (Aaron) Kell, Taylor (Evan) Kohl, Chase (Kaitlyn) Brittingham, Tanner Brittingham, and Peyton Blackard; great grandchildren, Karlee McGowan, Kruz McGowan, Leighton Kohl, Landry Kohl, Karsyn Cummins, and 2 more on the way.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Douglas officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.
