Tommy Ray Lewis, Sr., 80, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at his home on December 7, 2019. He was born to the late Millard Lewis and Dorothy (Gilmore) Neidlinger on September 6, 1939 in Princeton, IN.
Tommy was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church and of VFW post #2714. He served in the U.S. Navy where is served on the USS Midway. He also owned and operated a barber shop in Fort Branch for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Darla J (Skelton) Lewis, 6 children; Jeffrey (Barbara) Lewis of Fort Branch, IN, Gina Lewis-Cauthen of Evansville, IN, Gary (Janice) Lewis of Newport News, VA, David (Gayle) Lewis of Fort Branch, IN, Robin Racaster of Mount Carmel, IL, and Tommy Ray Lewis, Jr., 3 sisters; Betty Shanks of Fort Branch, IN, Vicky (Mike) Spindler of Princeton, IN, and Terri (Russell) Hyneman of Haubstadt, IN, 2 brothers; Larry (Audrey) Neidlinger of Evansville, IN and Fred (Wanda) Lewis of Star, ID, a sister-in-law; Diana Skelton of Princeton, IN, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with Pastor John Baylor officiating. Military Honors will be performed by The Retired Military Veterans, American Legion post #194, and VFW post #2714 at the funeral home on Wednesday. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date.
