Dorothy Mae (Seib) Rexing

Dorothy Mae Rexing, 75, of Haubstadt IN passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 8, 2020.  She was born to the late John and Elnora (Gries) Seib on September 23, 1945 in Haubstadt.  She was married 55 years to the love of her life James R. Rexing.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Thelma Seib; and a sister, Sarah Richie.
Dorothy was a member of the St. James Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the St. James Quilting Club where she loved hanging out with her quilting girls.  She was devoted to her family and loved her grandkids. Dorothy was a good cook and made the best molasses cookies.  She liked to draw and paint and of course quilt.
She is survived by her husband, James; children, Tina (Kent) Lamey, Tim (Julie) Rexing, Tammy (David) Rose and Traci (Craig) Lamey all of Haubstadt;  9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Martha (Larry) Schauss of Wadesville and brother, Leroy (Sauny) Seib of Princeton.
A private Mass of Christian Burial for immediate family only will be held at St. James Catholic Church and burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riley Children's Hospital, St. James Catholic Church or Deaconess Hospice.
