Lois Ann Potts, 80, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on February 24, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She was born to the late Elmer and Edith (Anslinger) Gruebel on July 10, 1940 in Haubstadt, IN.
Lois married her husband, Leon Potts, on January 18, 1968. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch. She was a waitress at Haub’s Steakhouse in Haubstadt for many years. She was also a lifetime member of The Olde Tyme Auto Club.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Roger Gruebel and a sister, Rita Mae Lamey.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Leon Potts of Fort Branch; her daughter, Lisa (Eric) Ralph of Haubstadt; 2 granddaughters, Carissa and Oliva Ralph; 5 nieces, Diane (Jr.) Schillinger, Pam (Greg) McIntyre, Patti (Ron) Grubb, Leigh Anne (Tim) Farrar, and Jerri Lynn (Terry) Jones; and 3 nephews, Kent (Tina) Lamey, Mike Gruebel and Jack (Lori) Potts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Christopher Droste as celebrant. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
